Teenage boy’s, I find, can be just as excited about designing a new room as teenage girls. The key, is to find something that is really important to them, and make sure that is included in the space. Most of the other details, they are happy to just go along with, what you think is best. In this case, the teenage wanted a place to sit and sketch. The prospects of having a lamp that could swing from the desk to the bed was really exciting. All of the other details were selected without much input from the teen, but nailing the items that were important to him, made everyone very happy with the end product.
