How to easily hang a Photo Collage

April 17, 2015

Adding a photo collage to your wall shouldn't be hard.  With these few steps, you'll have the perfect collage in no time.

Step 1- Measure your wall.  This photo collage is going above a wide dresser.  I wanted it to fill most of the length of the dresser, minus 6" on either side.

Step 2- Once you have your measurements, cut a large piece of paper from old wrapping paper.

Step 3- Place your frames on the old wrapping paper. (I messed up on the first piece you can barely see it under the newer kraft piece of paper)

Step 4- Trace the frames and then turn them over measure where the nail should go. And mark the wrapping paper with a dot or X where the nail should go.

Step 5- Repeat step four unit every frame is traced and the nail placement is measured and marked.

Step 6- Tape up the paper.  Use painters tape so it doesn't pull off any of your paint.  You will need a second person to make sure it is aligned and level.

Step 7- Hammer your nails in right through the paper.

Step 8- Remove the paper and tape.  Hang the frames on the wall, and enjoy your perfect photo collage!

I love styling shelves! It is so fun to mix frames, plants, and decorative objects. Keeping things balanced is important. I like using larger pieces that fill the space vs. a bunch of small nick knacks. .
